Minimal Waste

Goal: To divert over 90% of all hotel waste from the landfill by 2018.

ripped paper with recycle logoAs of 2012, we are diverting 56% of all our waste from the landfill. With improved recycling and composting efforts, we will work towards achieving 90%.

Measure: Waste reduction efforts will be measured based on reduced purchasing of products, staff and guest feedback, reduce garbage pick ups, increased compost and recycling pick ups, and summer/winter waste audits.

Actions we will take to achieve our goals

Actions are broken down by responsible department/person, purchase and install cost, and whether it is an immediate action or a short term (Present – May 2014), medium term (June 2014- 2015) or long term (2016-2018) action.
